Welcome
My dream is to one day own a magical tea and chocolate shop where I can read tarot cards and tea leaves, where my girls can drink hot cocoa in the winter time by a cozy fire while I stir up chai lattes and slice into delicious cakes, where the bell chimes to announce another customer shaking out their rain soaked umbrella and sighing in relief at the scent of vanilla and coffee beans, where the pastries match the seasons and the music matches the day's mood.
Until then, I'll be writing down fantastical thoughts and brewing my own tea from home, but I still want to read tarot cards for my lovely friends and future cafe patrons.
I want to read tarot cards for you in a way you perhaps have not had them read for you before. In my own encounters with tarot readers, clairvoyants, psychics — whatever they’ve chosen to call themselves— even the most resonant advice or the most poignant insights were given like butterflies. I would have this sensation that I was shown something beautiful maybe, but then it would flit away before I could memorize the markings of its wings or the curl of its antennae. I would take away what I could, thoughts scribbled in a notebook, or phrases tucked away in some nook of my brain. Mostly, though, I would forget.

When I read for you, I want to imagine catching that butterfly in a jar — an enchantedly hospitable one, though, where an insect could live a long, luxurious, and fulfilling life — so that you could befriend this creature, look upon it lovingly, nurture it with sweet nectars, and one day, when you are both ready to part ways, release it to a wild garden.

For me it all starts with a cup of tea. Like the imagery on the Three of Cups, I have an altar set up in the heart of my home where I can light a candle, burn incense, make offerings of acorns or crystals or rose buds (or other tidbits that remind the spirits of the living earth), and brew a pot of tea to share with three beloved women whom I trust to act as my ancestral guides. I believe we have many types of spirit guides— pets we’ve cared for, lovers or mothers from a past life, angels, fairies, or whoever or whatever you believe may support your soul on its current path— but, in my current practice, these three women each have their own designated teacup. They are the spirits that steer my hands when I shuffle my tarot deck and nudge me to select a particular card, and theirs are the voices of clarity I hear in my head when I work in my journal.

My method for interpreting cards relies heavily on these written words, which then allow me to create a record for my clients, a keepsake that documents those moments in your life when you sit down in the gravel of a crossroads, feel like you’re stuck in the looping of a record, or otherwise seek out my guidance. I have a relationship with my cards that allows me to derive insight from their imagery, but I am just a moderator. I want to share with you the wisdom that I find through my tarot deck, but more importantly I want to offer a physical space— and I literally mean empty space on a page— for guided introspection of your present, retrospection of your past, and foresight into your future; these are all methods of thought that I believe will benefit you most when you journey with them yourself.
So, I welcome you to work with your own spirit guides in whatever way suits you during our exchange, and in this I will also share with you what I receive from mine.
